Microsoft reveals Windows 8 packaging

PanARMENIAN.Net - Microsoft just unveiled the packaging for its yet-to-be-released Windows 8 operating system, Mashable said.

The colorful boxes showcase a multi-colored Windows logo on two different backgrounds — white for Windows 8, and black for Windows 8 Pro. The images were acquired by The Verge.

Earlier reports suggested that Microsoft would no longer provide the retail boxed copies of Windows 8, aside from some upgrade DVDs.

Microsoft announced Oct. 26 as the consumer launch date for Windows 8. Last week, the company said it was releasing the operating system to its manufacturer partners.
