ARMENIAN OPPOSITION STATED IT WAS CONSISTENT IN APPEALING AGAINST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RETURNS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The final returns presented by the central electoral commission of Armenia are unacceptable and the opposition will be consistent in appealing against them by means of the law. As reported by "Arka" agency, ex-candidate for the Armenian president, Armenian People Party leader Stepan Demirchian said at a meeting in Yerevan yesterday. He again noted that the second round of the presidential election had been held with mass irregularities and gerrymander. At the same time S. Demirchian refused to comment on the opposition further steps regarding the possible appeal to international courts, as "one should await the decision of the Constitutional Court." The People Party leader confirmed the party determination to participate in the election of the Armenian parliament, "and the participation format will become known in the near future."
