  Armenian local election commission chairman and secretary posts distributed August 8, 2012 - 20:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, on August 8, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia distributed the posts of election commission chairmen and secretaries for September 9 local government elections. According to CEC press service, the seats were distributed among the parties and blocs represented at the National Assembly. The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) received 376 seats, Prosperous Armenia – 264, Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc – 66, ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Heritage and Orinats Yerkir – 47 seats each. Partner news  Top stories At the meeting, the parties focused on the prospects of bilateral relations, and cooperation in the framework of international organizations. Dwelling on the hike in gas prices, Iskandaryan said the change also affected other countries importing Russian gas. Armen Martirosyan noted that the price rise will further deteriorate the situation in the country, fostering emigration. In this connection, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian left for Strasbourg to attend CoE foreign ministers meeting.
