Syria, Karabakh in focus of Sargsyan-Putin meeting – expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - Situation in Syria, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and regional security were in the focus of Moscow meeting between Armenian and Russian leaders, head of European Integration NGO said.

As Karen Bekaryan told a press conference, discussion of Syrian developments at Serzh Sargsyan-Vladimir Putin meeting was conditioned by Armenian-Syrian ties.

“Moscow has come up with no new initiatives on Karabakh problem since Russian presidential elections. Though issues related to Eurasian Union were also on discussion agenda, they were not in the focus,” Mr. Bekaryan said, slamming media publications claiming the Eurasian Union was the main topic of Sargsyan-Putin talks.
