Syrian rebels kidnap Aleppo-based Armenian

PanARMENIAN.Net - Syrian rebels kidnapped an Aleppo-based Armenian Hovsep Balmanoukian (born in 1990) on border with Lebanon, a Syrian Armenian said, preferring to remain anonymous.

As he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, USD 20 thous. ransom is demanded.

“In all probability, parents will pay the ransom after being rejected to reduce the price,” the Syrian Armenian said.

“According to the provided information, Syria’s Armenian community has voiced readiness to pay the ransom,” the founder of “Outreach to Syrian Armenians” Facebook page, writer/publicist Anahit Adamyan told PanARMENIAN.
