Wikileaks returns after DDoS attack

PanARMENIAN.Net - The whistle-blowing website Wikileaks is back online after being disrupted by a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack for more than a week.

The website said it had been flooded with 10 gigabits per second of traffic, making it slow and unresponsive.

DDoS attacks work by overwhelming websites, clogging network connections and making the server unavailable.

Wikileaks noted that a group calling itself Anti Leaks said it was behind the attack, BBC News reported.
