RPA’s refusal to nominate candidate for Gyumri mayor race correct – party rep.

PanARMENIAN.Net - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary group member deemed RPA’s decision not to nominate a candidate for Gyumri mayoral race politically correct, given its defeat in the city at May elections.

As to the journalists’ remarks claiming RPA’s step determined the victory of Prosperous Armenia party candidate Samvel Balasanyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan noted Prosperous Armenia’s readiness to cooperate with RPA, despite its refusal to join the coalition.

“Gyumri mayor elections represent a serious opportunity for cooperation between the two parties,” he said.
