Defense Ministry refuses to issue report on Azeri shelling of Armenian villages

PanARMENIAN.Net - There is no official notice on Azeri shelling of Armenia’s Tavush province border villages, recorded August 21 night, RA Defense Ministry representative said.

Asked by PanARMENIAN.Net reporter as to when information will be provided on the incident, the ministry official refrained from answering, saying ceasefire violation by Azeri side was reported in different parts the borderline.

Azerbaijani army units shelled Armenia’s Tavush province border villages (Aygepar, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur and Movses) on August 21 night, Aygepar and Nerkin Karmiraghbyur village administration heads said.

As Andranik Aidinyan and Manvel Kamendatyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Azeri shelling started August 21, 9 pm local time, with the roofs and the pipeline of Karmiraghbyur and Movses villages damaged.
