The Ukranian is joined by Belgium’s Steve Darcis, who ousted 5th seed Andy Roddick. World No. 15 Alexandr Dolgopolov advanced to the quarterfinal after taking out former World No. 3 David Nalbandian. The 23-year-old tallied 8 aces and 3 service breaks through to a 6-3, 6-4 victory in an hour and 16 minutes. Dolgopolov completed the round of 16 with 25 of 31 first-service points captured.
