Instead, the airline will operate flights to Azerbaijan’s and Georgia’s capital cities Baku and Tbilisi respectively. The company terminates activity in several countries, including Armenia. As sources told PanARMENIAN.Net low-profitability was mentioned as the key reason behind the decision. British Airways operated no flights to Yerevan in the past few years, with BMI launching flights to Armenian capital instead. Zvartnots airport will host a press conference on May 24 on the operation of Tel Aviv-Yerevan- Tel Aviv flights. “The increase for energy tariffs is prompted by a price hike for gas used in production,” Garegin Baghramyan said.
