Syrian Armenians to be exempt from visa extension fees

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian government adopted an amendment to RA law “On state duty.”

As Diaspora Minister noted, under the law, daily visa extension fee and provision of residence permit totals AMD 500 and AMD 105-140 thous. respectively.

“The amendments stipulate rebates for foreign citizens of Armenian origin under threat,” Hranush Hakobyan said, adding that the amendments particularly concerns Syrian Armenians.

In this context, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted, “Our compatriots are exempt from state fees and fines in case of emergencies, with favorable conditions being created for them to be able to solve their problems after they come to homeland.”
