Armenia can reconsider its relations with EU, NATO - expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia can reconsider its relations with the EU and NATO following the extradition of Azeri murderer Ramil Safarov, head of the Regional Studies Center (RSC) said.

“The recent development proved that Armenia should rely on its own strength,” Richard Giragosian told a news conference in Yerevan.

“This is a very serious incident for the international community and reaction to it is very important. If Azerbaijan doesn’t get a tough response, Armenia should revisit its relations with international institutions,” he said.

Dwelling on further steps Armenia should take, Giragosian mentioned withdrawal from talks with Azerbaijan.

As to the U.S. reaction, the expert said it was impressive enough, given the silence on Russia’s part.
