Armenia loses to China in World Chess Olympiad round 7

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian team suffered its first loss at Istanbul-hosted World Chess Olympiad, China gaining the upper hand with 2,5:1,5 win in round 7.

In round 7, Levon Aronian - Hao Wang, Vladimir Akopian – Liren Ding, Gabriel Sargissian – Xiangzhi Bu games ended in a draw, with Sergei Movsesian losing to Yue Wang.

Earlier, Armenian chess players got off to a successful start at the championship having beaten Bolivian, Bangladesh, Spanish, Philippine and Ukrainian teams, and tying a game against Russia.
