Denzel Washington’s “Safe House” second film in works September 6, 2012 - 14:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - David Guggenheim is writing a second installment of “Safe House” for Universal, TheWrap said. The original film was a big hit for the studio, grossing $202 million worldwide. Guggenheim is reportedly now working out whether the follow-up will be a sequel or a prequel, but the deal is a big payday for Guggenheim, who wrote the original script while working at Us Weekly. The original film, released in February and directed by Daniel Espinosa, starred Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington. Neither is officially attached to the new project, but both are expected to return according to those same individuals. Scott Stuber will return to produce the sequel under his Bluegrass Films banner.
