Sweden views Armenia as important partner - Migration Minister![]() September 7, 2012 - 15:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Sweden's Minister for Migration and Asylum Policy Tobias Billström. Mr. Billström is in Yerevan to participate in the opening of a program on the assistance to state migration service and development of migration management in Armenia. At the meeting, Mr. Nalbandian stressed the importance of the development of multilateral relations with Sweden, also hailing the high level of political dialogue between the countries. As Mr. Billström, in turn, noted, Sweden views Armenia as an important partner. The official expressed satisfaction over the active development of bilateral ties, stressing that the agreements reached during his visit will promote cooperation in the sector of migration. Discussions on Armenia-EU partnership, as well as facilitation of Armenia-EU visa regime were also on meeting agenda. Partner news Dwelling on the hike in gas prices, Iskandaryan said the change also affected other countries importing Russian gas. Armen Martirosyan noted that the price rise will further deteriorate the situation in the country, fostering emigration. In this connection, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian left for Strasbourg to attend CoE foreign ministers meeting.
