Adapted from David Mitchell's 2004 novel of the same name, the film weaves together six different plotlines that take place over many time periods, spanning from the 19th Century to a post-apocalyptic future. Starring Tom Hanks, Jim Broadbent, Halle Berry, Ben Whishaw, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon, and Hugh Grant, the film is playing at the Toronto Film Festival and opens in the U.S. on October 26.
