ITU head hails Armenia’s development prospects in telecommunicationsSeptember 18, 2012 - 11:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met Sept. 18 with Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Hamadoun Touré. President Sargsyan highly assessed Mr. Touré’s activity, noting that cooperation with ITU contributed to the development of Armenia’s telecommunications sector in the recent years. ITU head, in turn, hailed Armenia’s potential in the field, calling on Armenia to boost participation in international conferences and other events. The two men further discussed development prospects and the role of ITU in the solution of the existing problems in telecommunications industry, the presidential press service reported.
