Armenia posts 8% economic activity index in August

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s economic activity index in August 2012 totaled 8%, growing by 21% as compared to July 2012, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

In August 2012, consumer prices grew by 2,5%, with 0,4% deflation recorded on a monthly basis. Meanwhile, in January-August 2012 inflation rate increased by 2,2% as compared with the same period in 2011.

The national budget envisages 4,2% economic activity growth, and 4±1,5% inflation for 2012.
