MEETING OF CIS FM COUNCIL TO BE HELD IN MINSK MARCH 18

PanARMENIAN.Net - A meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers will be held in Minsk March 18. The problem of reforming CIS bodies is supposed to be the central problem at the coming meeting. The meeting draft agenda also includes matters referring to security and cooperation in struggle against crime, as well as humanitarian problems. The meeting participants will discuss the bill of the CIS Concept of Cooperation in fighting terror and other violent manifestation of extremism, the draft Program of Cooperation of the CIS states in counteracting illegal migration in 2006-2008, the draft Agreement on Cooperation between the CIS states in struggle with tax crimes. Besides, the project of the Concept of Joint System of information marking of explosives, ammunition and fire-arms, sponsored and submitted by the Council of Heads of Security Bodies and Special Services of CIS states. The block of humanitarian issues includes the draft Conceprt of Development of Adult Education in CIS states, as well as draft Agreement on Cooperation in Work with the Youth, which provides for the forming of a Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS states. The Commonwealth Foreign Ministers will consider the proposal of the Republic of Belarus on conferring a status of basic organization to four Belorussian higher education institutions. The CIS Council on Education Cooperation has also proposed to confer basic organization statuses to the Republic of Armenia State Institute for enhancing qualification and retraining of information science staff in education of people with handicaps and the unemployed and to the Russian University of People's Friendship in information cooperation of education systems of the CIS states.
