Armenia’s Independence Day celebrated in U.S.![]() September 22, 2012 - 19:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian community of the U.S. West Coast held a celebration of 21st anniversary of Armenia’s independence, with about 1000 Armenian Americans gathering in RA Consulate General in Los Angeles. Consul General Grigor Hovhannissian congratulated Armenian Americans on 21st anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia, stressing Armenian Americans’ contribution to the development of homeland. During the anti-government protests in Turkey, police officers entered an Armenian cemetery in Sisli district of Istanbul.
