His mission: convince farmers in a small, rural town to sell their land for “fracking,” or drilling and injecting fluid into the ground at a high pressure in order to fracture shale rocks and release natural gas. John Krasinki (of “The Office” fame) also stars as a skeptical local alongside Hal Holbrook, who plays the wise town elder.
