Armenia bidding to host World Chess Team Championship 2015

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia filed an application to host World Chess Team Championship 2015, RA Chess Academy representative told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

According to FIDE official website, the world championship is scheduled for January 5-20.

It’s noteworthy that Armenian men’s team won the World Chess Olympiad in Istanbul, Turkey, on September 9 to become champions for the third time.

Yerevan also organizes European Individual Chess Championship, due in 2014.
