First look of Hugh Jackman as “Wolverine” unveiled

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first official image from The Wolverine has been released, Digital Spy reported.

Unveiled by the official Marvel Twitter feed, the photograph features Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, a role which he has played in five previous X-Men films including his cameo in X-Men: First Class.

The Wolverine is described as more of a "standalone film" than a direct sequel to 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and finds Logan in Japan as he confronts "a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed".

3:10 to Yuma and Walk the Line helmer James Mangold is directing, while Svetlana Khodchenkova, Will Yun Lee and Brian Tee are among the supporting cast.

The Wolverine will be released on July 26, 2013.
