  Armenian parliament, USAID to develop cooperation September 26, 2012 - 19:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met September 26 with USAID Mission Director for Armenia Karen Hilliard. Congratulating Ms. Hilliard on the appointment, National Assembly speaker positively assessed the agency’s activity in Armenia. “USAID programs currently aim to contribute to long-term economic growth, sustainable social policy and democratic reforms,” he said, pledging to foster the agency’s activity. Ms. Hilliard, in turn, voiced confidence that cooperation with the National Assembly will yield positive results, noting implementation of a 4-year program as her goal.
