Armenia’s “If only everyone…” film enters Oscar race

PanARMENIAN.Net - Natalya Belyauskene’s “If only everyone…” is Armenia's candidate for the 2013 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, the film’s producer said.

As Michael Poghosyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the proposal to nominate the film for the Oscar was put forward by National Cinema Center of Armenia.

“We have already sent the documents to Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences,” he said.

The film will add to awareness as it looks at eyewitness testimonies recorded in the 1980s to help understand the severity of the tragedy.
Already included in the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity are the Duduk, Armenian khachkar, lavash,”David of Sassoun.”
She joins an impressive group of fashion moguls on the list that includes Spanx founder Sara Blakely and bridal tycoon Vera Wang.
It’s only the second movie of 2016 to cross the 10-figure threshold, the other being fellow Disney title “Captain America: Civil War.”
