Czech President attacked with plastic gun![]() September 28, 2012 - 21:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Officials say a man has attacked Czech President Vaclav Klaus with a plastic gun, The Associated Press reported. Presidential spokesman Radim Ochvat says Klaus was not injured in Friday's incident in the northern town of Chrastava where he was opening a new bridge. Police spokeswoman Stepanka Zatloukalova says the man opened fire at Klaus from close range with a plastic pistol that uses small plastic balls as bullets. A 26-year-old man has been arrested. Zatloukalova had no more details immediately. It is not clear why the president's bodyguards did not intervene in time. Partner news Amy Elliott, chief administrative officer of the Oklahoma medical examiner's office, said 51 were confirmed dead. An Islamist insurgency, once confined largely to the republic of Chechnya, has spread across the North Caucasus in recent years. Earlier, at least five Azerbaijan soldiers were killed and six seriously injured when their vehicle rammed into a tree and overturned.
