Javakhk Armenians’ issue to challenge Georgia’s democracy - expert![]() October 4, 2012 - 14:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Finding solution to Javakhk Armenians and the Armenian Church issues will be a true challenge to Georgian leadership, putting the country’s democracy to a test, a political expert said. “The winning Georgian Dream opposition bloc mustn’t become a “Georgian nightmare” to the country’s Armenians,” Richard Giragosian told a news conference in Yerevan. The expert further urged the Armenian authorities to follow the suit of the Georgian leadership, who’ve realized that the public demand for change cannot be ignored. Giragosian welcomed the Georgian opposition’s parliamentary win, noting it to be the first case in the region for authorities to peacefully give up the power. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
