Yerevan 2794th anniversary festivities launch in Armenian capital

PanARMENIAN.Net - Erebuni Museum hosted a theatralized event, followed by a march in the framework of the festivities dedicated to 2794th anniversary of Yerevan.

A man dressed as King Argishti opened the event with the history of the foundation of the Armenian capital.

The Museum-adjacent streets were full of spectators, with youth song and dance ensembles performing in the area.

The festive events were attended by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margasyan and other high-ranking officials.

“This exercise aims to empower youth by giving them an opportunity to network,” head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan said.

The report is designed to shape the debate around new global development goals that are to be finalized next year.
“I think it will be useful if we share the rich experience and the practical skills with the young generation,” Ralph Yirikian said.
