Apple to roll out Retina 13’ MacBook at iPad Mini launch - report

PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple will announce a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display at the much-rumoured iPad Mini launch event, according to a report, Digital Spy said.

9to5Mac points to a "consistently reliable source at a high-profile US retailer" saying that a 13-inch Retina MacBook laptop will join the 15-inch version that was launched in June.

The website says that the new 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro will be sold in two configurations based on different processors and storage. They will be available for purchase soon after the announcement later this month, it claims.

9to5Mac believes that just like the 15-inch MacBook Pro lines with Retina, the 13-inch version will cost more than the equivalent non-high-resolution models.

It has been reported that Apple will hold a launch event in the US on October 23, at which the firm is expected to unveil a new smaller version of the two-year-old iPad tablet computer.

The so-called iPad Mini is expected to have a 7.8-inch screen, compared with the 9.7-inch display in the main iPad, and compete with Amazon's Kindle Fire and Google's Nexus 7.

Apple has not commented on the iPad Mini launch rumours.
