ARFD to decide between 2 presidential candidates – paper![]() October 16, 2012 - 15:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun daily, ARF Dashnaktsutyun is attempting to decide on a candidate for the 2013 presidential elections. The choice is between Armen Rustamyan and Artsvik Minasyan, each of whom has a circle of supporters within a party, the daily says. No matter how unexpected the candidacy of Minasyan may have sounded to some members of the party, the former is backed by the representative of ARF Dashnaktsusyan Bureau Hrant Margaryan, it says. Margaryan is confident that during presidential campaign Minasyan will be able to demonstrate his professional advantages as well as the level of political expertise, according to the report. “Party veterans are unhappy about Rustamyan’s candidacy, believing that that nomination of Robert Kocharian’s protégé will cause a negative response among voters,” the paper concludes Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
