Film about Karabakh conflict to premiere in Moscow

PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow will host the premiere of “Interrupted Song” film on November 10.

The movie tells a story about Armenian and Azerbaijani soldiers, who twenty years ago fell into a pit during Nagorno Karabakh national liberation movement.

Representatives of Russia’s Armenian and Azerbaijani communities will attend the event, the film’s executive producer Gohar Gevorgyan said in interview with the Voice of Russia.

She further conditioned the delay of the premiere by the negative reaction of Azerbaijani media to Moscow Armenians’ initiative to shoot a film about the Karabakh conflict.

“In the end, the Azerbaijani actor resolved to withdraw participation from the further shooting of the film,” Ms. Gevorgyan said, adding that project was brought into fruition exclusively by the picture crew’s funds, as any other proposals presumed change of the plot.
