Stephen King's “The Breathing Method” to be adapted into movie

PanARMENIAN.Net - Scott Derrickson will helm an adaptation of Stephen King's The Breathing Method.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose director and co-writer has become attached to the project that will reunite him with the production team from Sinister, Digital Spy reported citing Deadline.

The novella tells the tale of a woman determined to have her legitimate child no matter the consequences. She masters a new breathing technique in preparation for the birth.

When she is decapitated in a road accident, the woman continues to breathe until her baby is born.

The story is one of four featuring in the novel Different Seasons. The other three tales have already been adapted as The Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me and Apt Pupil.

Jason Blum will produce, with a screenplay adapted by Scott Teems.
