“Jack Reacher” trailer features Tom Cruise’s character chased by police

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tom Cruise has starred in the first full length trailer for Jack Reacher, Digital Spy said.

The promo clip includes the eponymous character outclassing the police by blending into plain sight after a car chase.

The film is adapted by Christopher McQuarrie for the big screen from Lee Child's novel One Shot.

Cruise's title character is an ex-military police officer who is called in to investigate a murder of five people in a seemingly random sniper attack.

The trailer arrives a day after a brand new poster featuring Cruise was unveiled.

Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins and Robert Duvall are among the supporting cast of the action project.

Cruise has previously stated that he is sensitive to the backlash his casting caused among some fans of Child's series, who claimed that he didn't fit the description of Reacher.

Jack Reacher will be released on December 21 in the US and December 26 in the UK.
