"The release of the detainees is our top priority, and the resistance will always work to achieve this goal," said the head of Hamas's armed wing Abu Obaida, according to Palestinian news agency Ma'an. "This swap deal will not be the last. We will always act in order to secure the release of all detainees." Partner news U.S. officials say they want to advance efforts to start talks between the Syrian government and opposition leaders. The international conference, backed by Russia and the U.S., aims to find a political solution to the conflict in Syria.
