Comedian Steve Carell to star in Disney’s “Alexander And Terrible Day”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Steve Carell has been attached to star in the film adaptation of Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, Digital Spy reported.

Disney picked up the rights to turn Judith Viorst's children book into a film with Lisa Cholodenko as the director, who co-wrote the script with Rob Lieber, reports Deadline.

Carell will play the dad to the titular Alexander, whose day continues to get worse after he wakes up with gum in his hair. He was originally linked with the role earlier this year.

The actor recently starred opposite Meryl Streep in Hope Springs and also appeared in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World with Keira Knightley.

Carell has previously revealed that he doesn't "like to get angry", saying: "It doesn't make me feel good. It is very human, but it's also a loss of control, and I like to have that kind of control."
