Dwelling on the party’s participation format in the upcoming presidential race, in conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Levon Shirinyan stressed the need to consider the issue from the perspective of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), noting the latter to have real chances for victory. As media outlets reported earlier, Free Democrats is currently developing a strategy for the presidential elections in February. According to Hraparak daily, rumors circulated recently about the possible nomination of the party’s vice-president Anush Sedrakyan, which would make Free Democrats the first political force in Armenia to have a female presidential candidate. Armen Martirosyan noted that the price rise will further deteriorate the situation in the country, fostering emigration.
