Latvia’s Defense Ministry computer system hacked

PanARMENIAN.Net - The computer system of Latvia’s Defense Ministry has been hacked, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis said on Wednesday, Oct 31, according to RIA Novosti.

The attack on the ministry’s websites and servers was recorded last week, he said, adding it was carried out from IP addresses registered in France.

Ministry specialists said the hackers cracked passwords and attempted to access the ministry’s email system.

The incident is being investigated.
