Bomb threat in CNN building proves false

PanARMENIAN.Net - Atlanta police say a person called in a bomb threat, and claimed to have 15 hostages in the CNN building early Friday, Nov 2 morning, according to myfoxatlanta.com.

Police say bomb detection crews swept the building and the adjacent Omni Hotel as a precaution but did not find anything.

Atlanta police Captain Adam Lee III said they take all calls very seriously. He said units cordoned off several blocks in all directions around the center to curtail pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

The affected areas have been reopened. Authorities say Homeland Security is working to track down the caller.
