Hungarian delegates apologize to Armenian partners at IPA Congress

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian delegation members today, Nov 5 summed up the outcomes of Israel-hosted 20th International Police Association (IPA) World Congress.

Armenia’s full-fledged membership was expected to be discussed at IPA Congress, however the Association’s 74-year-old head submitted resignation, bringing about total changes in the agenda.

RA membership was discussed on the last day only, with Armenia granted Association member’s status (Yerevan was earlier represented as a Russian branch).

“Armenia’s full membership will be discussed in September 2013 in Copenhagen,” IPA’s Armenian branch chief Grisha Sargsyan said.

Hungarian delegation was also among the IPA World Congress participants.

“Hungarian delegation issued a public apology to Armenian representatives on the very first day. Moreover, every time they expressed their regret over the occurred,” Armenian delegation member, Arabkir Medical Center deputy director Edmon Simonyan said.

The IPA - the largest police organization in the World - was formed on January 1, 1950. Since that time, its Esperanto motto "Servo per Amikeco" (Service through Friendship) has reached more people than could have been imagined.
