The Korean firm's TV division claims that it shifted 1.15 million units in the region, attributing the feat to "premium marketing, efficient supply management strategy, and technology prowess". Samsung has been named as the world's number one HD TV manufacturer on six consecutive occasions, and is on course to make it seven. The firm did not offer a breakdown of its bestselling sets, but noted that the 75-inch ES9000 Smart TV serves as its flagship model in the US market, where the demand for large screens is at an all-time high. The news follows the firm's announcement that its mobile phone business has seen record profits, spearheaded by the success of its Galaxy line. Samsung is rumoured to be undergoing an extensive brand transformation as it brings the fight to Apple on the international front.
