Coca-Cola to invest $1.3 billion in Chile till 2016

PanARMENIAN.Net - Coca-Cola Co. said it plans to invest $1.3 billion in Chile from 2012 to 2016, including $200 million on a new bottling plant in Renca, Chile that officially opened Thursday, Nov 14, MarketWatch reports.

With operations in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and most recently Paraguay, Coca-Cola bottler Embotelladora Andina SA ranks seventh among Coca-Cola's bottlers world-wide after closing a merger with Chilean soft-drinks producer and distributor Embotelladoras Coca-Cola Polar SA.

The new Coca-Cola Andina plant covers 243,000 square meters and houses 10 production lines, which can be expanded to 12.
