Marisa Tomei to join Hugh Grant in “Untitled Marc Lawrence Project”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Marisa Tomei is in negotiations to join Hugh Grant in Castle Rock Entertainment’s “Untitled Marc Lawrence Project,” TheWrap said.

The romantic comedy revolves around Ray Michaels (Hugh Grant) a witty, sexy, Englishman who, in 1988, is on top of the world in Hollywood, having just won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay.

Fifteen years later, he's creatively washed up, divorced, and broke. With no other options, he takes a job teaching screenwriting at a small college on the East Coast. What he doesn't expect to find is romance with a single mom who's gone back to school.

Castle Rock is producing the feature film, which is shooting in New York next spring. Martin Shafer and Liz Glotzer are producing.

Tomei won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for "My Cousin Vinny." Her past credits also include “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” “The Wrestler” and “The Ides of March.” She can next be seen in “Parental Guidance,” which opens on December 25 through Fox. Tomei is represented by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.

Grant has worked with Marc Lawrence on several previous features, including “Two Weeks Notice,” “Music and Lyrics” and “Did You Hear About the Morgans?”
