Egypt President Mursi fires chief prosecutor

PanARMENIAN.Net - President Mohammed Mursi of Egypt has sacked his chief prosecutor, Abdel Maguid Mahmoud, BBC News reported.

He has also ordered the re-trial of officers accused of attacking protesters under Hosni Mubarak.

Mr Mahmoud's decision to acquit the officers led to violent clashes in the capital Cairo last month.
