CoE ready to continue cooperation with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian delegation headed by Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan will attend the second regional meeting of ministers on implementation of the European Higher Education Area project in Strasbourg.

According to RA MFA press service, Minister Ashotyan met with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland, with permanent representative of Armenia to CoE Armen Papikyan present. Minister Ashotyan hailed the relations with the CoE, which aim to bring the education system closer to that of Europe.

Jagland highly assessed Armenia’s implementation of reforms, expressing CoE readiness to continue cooperation with Armenia.

The two further exchanged ideas on Armenia's Chairmanship of Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, as well as regional issues.
