PanARMENIAN.Net - Adele's album "21" has dropped out of the UK top 40 album charts for the first time since its release nearly two years ago, The Hollywood Reporter said citing NME.

The album, which includes such singles as "Someone Like You" and "Rolling In The Deep," came in 42nd in the latest rankings, it said. It had at one point spent 71 consecutive weeks in the UK top 10.

Adele has reached various milestones with "21." For example, the singer's second album has sold more than 4.5 million copies since January 2011 and is the UK's fifth biggest-selling album of all time, according to data from the Official Chart Company.

It has also become the biggest-selling digital album of all time, it said. It took the top album charts spot in its first week in the UK when it sold more than 200,000 copies.

Rihanna's "Unapologetic" leads the latest UK album charts. Her seventh studio album went straight to the top, marking her third consecutive UK number one album. According to NME, that matches Madonna's past achievement in the record books.
