World Bank approves $6.4mln grant for Gaza

PanARMENIAN.Net - The World Bank approved a $6.4 million grant to improve water and sewage infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, following damage caused to the already-deteriorating infrastructure during the eight day Operation Pillar of Defense, AFP reported.

The project is set to fund construction of water tanks, connecting major wells to the supply grid, and reducing costly leaks.

The Islamic Development Bank will make an additional contribution of $11.14 million to the project, according to AFP.
