Heritage leader denies alluding to Madrid Principles

PanARMENIAN.Net - Peoples’ voluntary return to their native lands should not be ruled out after the recognition of Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Heritage party leader said.

Commenting on the viewpoint suggesting his speech in Baku about the return of refugees stemmed from Madrid Principles, Raffi Hovannissian noted that no reference to the document was made.

“I reject Madrid Principles. “Refugee” word was the only common thing between my speech and the document,” he said, deeming return of refugees possible only following recognition of Artsakh Republic with its territorial integrity.
