Robert Zemeckis hints at “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” 3D sequel

PanARMENIAN.Net - Robert Zemeckis has addressed the possibility of a Who Framed Roger Rabbit? sequel, Digital Spy reported.

The director revealed that a screenplay is complete and awaiting the green light from Disney.

"I'm happy with the script, it's very good," he told MTV.

"If I were to do the sequel, it would be done just like the first one. It would look the same way, but we would present it in 3D in its release.

"I would do all of the animation hand-drawn - 2D, but using 3D tools. It wouldn't be like Pixar 3D. It wouldn't look like that... this would again be another period movie."

The director also said that he has seen some tests of a 3D conversion of the original Roger Rabbit and would consider a re-release of the Bob Hoskins and Christopher Lloyd-starring 1988 movie.

However, when asked about the possibility of a 3D Back to the Future reissue, Zemeckis said: "I don't see the point in that."
