FM: Russia backs peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow, jointly with OSCE Minsk Group will continue efforts towards finding a peaceful solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Russian Foreign Minister said.

As Sergey Lavrov said during a Dublin-hosted Foreign Ministers Council meeting, “along with other OSCE MG co-chairs, the U.S. and France, we’ll continue promoting approximation of conflicting sides’ positions.”

As he noted, Russia sees peaceful negotiations as the only way to resolve Karabakh conflict.

“The Co-chairs are in frequent touch with the Ministers and often hold meetings with them,” James Warlick said.
“We are ready to make concessions that aren’t viewed as opportune moments by Baku for attacking Karabakh,” Bako Sahakyan said.
“It is our moral obligation to recognize the Armenian Genocide,” said committee chair Yakov Margi (Shas) at a committee meeting.
