CEC: amendments to Armenia’s electoral code unfounded

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Central Election Committee (CEC) held a meeting today, Dec 8, with the schedule of conduction of 2013 presidential race adopted.

As CEC chairman told a press conference, the regulations of 2012 parliamentary elections will operate for 2013 presidential polls.

“RA electoral code allows for transparent polls,” Tigran Mukuchyan said, deeming amendments on the threshold of elections unfounded.

He further noted that the committee members will undergo trainings ahead of the oncoming presidential race.
